System down

Im back and will updating more frequently.

In view of the pandemic, the Courts have now gone online. Hearings are now conducted via zoom. This means a lot of time is saved as we travel much lesser.

But online hearing has its hiccups too. For example, I had 2 appeals before the Court of Appeal on 03/04/2021. Finished my submission at about 1230 hours and the Judges stood the appeal down to take a 15 minutes rest.

At about 1330 hours, the Court Registrar came online to inform us that the Court's system had crashed and the hearing cannot therefore proceed. The Court fixed the matter for e-review today..

In today's session, the Court refixed the hearing of the Appeal, more particularly, to hear submissions from the Respondents' Solicitors on 12/08/2021.

Things like these are bound to happen when we are relying on robotics.
