Election Petition

The Temerloh High Court sitting in Kuala Lumpur dismissed an Election Petition brought by UMNO candidate against the winning PAS candidate for Tahan State Legislative Essembly.

The Election Court, presided by The Honourable Dato Hajjah Azimah bin Haji Nawawi, agreed with the Respondents' submissions that the amendments to The Election Offences Act has since made the remedies sought by the Petitioner no longer available and hence the Petition ought to be struck off as being unsustainable.
